Suppose you have a gun you got your eye on for awhile. But it's a little beyond your reach price-wise. Do you people wait, and save, or get a similar gun that is a lot cheaper?

Example: DSA FAL medium contour rifle $1700 (retail), or get a generic Imbel FAL for a lot less?

How about a Springfield Armory M1A for 1100?  [;)]

Patience, grasshopper!

Buy cheap, pay twice... or something like that.  Besides, since you never *sell* guns, you'll have the best forever!  [;)]

Right...

AW or Remington 700 in AICS with 1000 in smith work?

4K vs 2K...  =
(AW = Accuracy International Arctic Warfare)

Hold out for the more expensive rifle.

think about why you really want the dsa fal. and see if those characteristics exist elsewhere. also look at the emotional aspects. if you can really determine the reasons for the desire, it may help you find something else or reaffirm your intent for the other.

but generally, i've found that if i've really wanted something (for the right reasons) i would not be happy with something less.
