I had a CRKT M16-12M 1* model with a liner lock that was starting to go out. It would close on itself with a moderate amount of pressure. I e-mailed CRKT's customer support in mid-May to see if they could fix it under their lifetime warranty. They said to mail it off and they would take care of it.

They sure did! A package arrived today with a brand-new knife! Not only that, it was a newer model with the LAWKS system, which is a little toggle that guarantees that the liner lock stays put when open. The one I sent back did not have that feature.

I'm very impressed and will definitely buy more of their knives in the future.

i have quite a few of them, my brother is a dealer, if you ever need one he will givem to the arfcom guys at cost plus actual shipping charges, i love their knives, only an M9 ontario has more cool

I kept a C.R.K.T. KISS clipped inside my vest for seven years as an LEO. Now it rides in my hip pocket. Still holding the original edge, even though I abuse the crap out of it.

Why does the liner not work properly? Is this a design flaw of the knife itself, or of that style of liner lock?

(cringing, just thinking about the thing closing on my fingers *unexpectedly*)

I just picked up a M16-14LE for $60 at a shop. Any opinions on that model? Was that a good price?

I saw the large, serrated tanto model at last weeks Indy 1500 for $40. I'm still pissed that I passed, as I have the smaller version (and love it). This version did not have the 1* logo or black coating, though. Just the nice OD finish.

I have a CRKT WASP that I have had for a couple of years now. Good looking , great ice breaker pommel and a great blade that takes an edge sweet as sugar.
