Anyone know why the FAB-10 lower receiver costs 3 to 4 times the price of a normal one? Couldn't one be made easily enough by just riviting a 10 round magazine into a conventional lower?!

Because there is no competition. Shoeless Ventures just bought the patent from CMS, and raised the price another $100 (retail $299!).
