Well I voted for not carring what consenting adults do, but I think it's wrong.
My wife and I exchanged vows in a church before GOD, not at the Justice of the Peace. Just my personal beliefs, and yes I'm old fashioned but no one's gonna fuck my wife except me. Same goes for me, if they're not here they ain't hidin' my salami. IMNSHO a "marriage" is more than a ceremony and livign together. It's a commitment. If they modified their vows to include screwing the whole neighborhood at the same time I could care less, it's their "arrangement". |

Swinging and Marriage is a contradiction in terms by definition.
What consenting adults do is their business unless it impact the lives of others. In this case, swinging, it usually does especially if there are children in the relationship. I have not been personaly involved in the swinging scene as noted by the fact I am still married and have my testicles in tact. My wife is Southern Baptist. I have been exposed to the culture through people I have known in life. I would like to add what happened to them not as a condemnation but simply a statement of fact. Of the five couples I personally knew that were into swinging, one couple I lost track of but last seen the wife was going to therapy, one couple is still married and have a wonderful daughter, two marriage ended in divorce, and one ended with the wife jumping off a bridge naked to her death. BTW, interesting note that most swingers are couples and do not allow singles. Never could figure that one out. I guess it's there way of keeping it something like a marriage. I guess I have been tainted by experience. edit to add: Glad you clarified that this made you think of for Vals thread was not the same what so ever. |

I think this is a personal choice for couples with no kids. It shouldn't concern anyone outside of the two of them and whoever they're swinging with. If they have kids, swinging should be considered illegal as a form of child neglect. Similar to not feeding your kids a decent diet and them getting sick as a result. It would be difficult to enforce, though.
If the dumbass wants to jump off a bridge, society's probably better off without her. Nobody's gonna bang my wife, either. Not without some medieval consequences. Unless it was rape, those consequences would also include her untrustworthy ass since we didn't agree to any such nonsense. |

I don't think it should be illegal, but i do believe it's wrong.
The problem with swinging is that it destablizes marriages. Marriage is hard enough for two people without comlicating things by adding someone else. Swinging is almost always the death knell of a relationship. Some people manage to stick with it for ahwile, the lifestyle swingers, but even then it often ends badly. The bottom line is that if you value your marriage, you should avoid involving anybody else in it. This goes double if you have kids. On the other hand, if your marriage is headed for the toilet, or you just plain don't care, have at it. |

Guys I needed this thread. Just found out that my girlfriend has been fucking a married couple. I have met them several times and thought that they were totally normal folks with kids and the works. My best friend saw the three of them mugging down at a local watering hole, and a friend of my girlfriend felt it necessary to tell me that she (my girl) had been fucking them for quite awhile. I thought that this relationship might go somewhere, so it is a little dissapointing but I'll get over it.
At this point, I must say that the whole swinger thing is pretty trashy. If I were married, there is no way I could cheat on my wife much less give her permission to sleep with other men.
