I would like to dedicate this poem to my friends John Hutto and Andy Alaniz  Killed In Iraq on Feb. 27th 1991. Rest in Peace Brothers.

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place, and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

SLEEP, MY SONS, YOUR DUTY DONE,
FOR FREEDOM'S LIGHT HAS COME,
SLEEP IN THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA,
OR IN YOUR BED OF HALLOWED SOD,
UNTIL YOU HEAR AT DAWN
THE LOW, CLEAR REVEILLE OF GOD

And when he gets to heaven
St. Peter he will tell
Another soldier repoting sir
I've served my time in hell.

To all who have defended my nation, thank you.  Because of you I can say what I wish and all the other freedoms we enjoy.

To those who have given the ultimate, God Bless and R.I.P. you are not forgotten.  You shall live forever in the hearts and minds of those you have defended.

While I may be of little or no importance, I DO remember and appreciate the sacrifes made by all veterans of all the conflicts past and present.
