Tayous1, did you see or hear of any problems or complaints with the 5.56 round as far as stopping power?  How did the equipment in general hold up to the conditions?  Anything better or worse than other stuff?

The 5.56 did ok I liked my 7.62 better . The Molly packs stopped RPG's pretty good and that's all it was good for. The 240G is just a great weapon.

The Molly packs are just crap with there plastic frames. They feel heavier  the Alice packs with the same amount of weight. I don't know why but they just do.

They also had a lot of the part on them brake like the quick release strap the frame  and other parts.

With the ones we had yes there was a lot of reliability problems. The ones we used where from Camp Pendleton they where use and abused so there was a lot of problems with them.

But the M-16A4 where great with everyone I talked to..

Ditto here too.

What was troop morale like over there, and what were some of the variables that effected it?

You said that the Iraqis welcomed you for the most part.  What were some of the things the civilians did, positive and negative?

What struck you the most about the Presidential Palace?

I was talking to my Mom last month who is in the high end culinary industry, five star resturants, that sort of thing.  She's always been fascinated how the services feed so many mouths in the field and how important good food is to morale.  I'm sure she would like to know what the front line troops think of the new MREs.

For some resion the Molle packs stopped the RPG rounds I think it was do to them being hard yet so soft. I don't know how they did it but I was glade they did.

The New MRE's still sucked the only good thing is they had milk shakes in some of them. A lot of the time we where cut down to 2 or 1 1/2 MRE's a day because we where moving faster then the supply train.

Welcome back and tell us more about the concentration camp. Why were they there? Physical shape of the children? Where was it? Describe as much as you can about it.

Money & gold, did you hear about the huge amounts found? I would find it hard to turn it in without lightening the load.

What was the weirdest thing you saw / found?

What was your unit?

TALK! Ve haf veys of making juu talk!

Er... tell us what you can or want to.

Thanks for going and Welcome back!

I'm surprised the gov't hasn't spread news of any bioweapons far and wide, especially with all the flak they've been taking for not finding anything.
