Tee hee. http://www.democraticunderground.com/cgi-bin/duforum/duboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=6805&forum=DCForumID70 thermodynamic (3230 posts) May-25-03, 07:54 PM (ET) Here's a bumper sticker to cry for "Peace through superior firepower". I wonder what the (chicken) hawks will say when somebody else with big-time firepower comes at us. One can have a big stick and threaten people with it for only so long before the people rebel. Gloria (5699 posts) May-25-03, 08:22 PM (ET) 1. "Peace through using your brain"..... not this bunch of thugs.... Rick Myers (2256 posts) May-25-03, 08:36 PM (ET) 4. Unfortunately... When I was in the Air Force, circa 1975-78, our motto was "Peace is our profession!" Originally a SAC motto, I truly believe that is the ONLY job of a professional miltary. Therefore, our PREEMPTIVE attack on Iraq violates EVERY tenant of civilized military posture! govegan (25 posts) May-25-03, 08:49 PM (ET) 5. Ruling through superior corruption Corruption in the media, corruption in the courts, corruption in the military, corruption in the congress...... the list goes on and on. It is enough to make on weep. To quote one of America's superior modern poets, Joy Harjo, from "The Path to the Milky Way Leads Through Los Angeles" "Everyone knows you can't buy love but you can still sell your soul for less than a song to a stranger who will sell it to someone else for a profit until you're owned by a company of strangers in the city of strange and getting stranger. " This nation is strange and getting stranger by the day. Are there enough Americans who have not sold their souls to still make democracy work?

Never tell anyone how big your stick is, because they will go and get a bigger stick and then attack.

It warms my heart knowing they are more distressed about "their country" than I am about "my country". God bless the USA. Bob

I have never "wept" in my life, so I certainly don't feel like doing it when I see DVDtracker's bumper sticker on the back of my truck. Does anyone else feel like singing Kum ba ya after reading that drivel? I just want to hold hands and relate in a very real and sensitive way.

Why wonder? You know the answer... RETURN FIRE!!! (what I would post, if I could post at DU... I don't feel like trolling, but if one of you guys wants to post it, go ahead)...

Though I have heard you talk about the DU forum I have to admit I never had the desire to go there. So I go tonight and read some of the posts. It was so surreal. It was like an evil parallel universe. For example: "I'm looking for ways to give Democrats more of an edge in next year's election.. financially. Heck, even if our candidate could come close to pulling-even in campaign financing, we'd enjoy better chances. That having been said, it is illegal for foreigners to give money to either the party, the campaign itself, or to special interest groups? If these are illegal, is it illegal for foreigners to give cash "gifts" to Americans? There could be some sort of an understanding that the money would go towards to good of the campaign, and thus the good of America and the world.. There's a TON of untapped liberal resources outside of our borders - imagine if those outside of our country had more influence. Ideas? " Traitors among us.
