I had this money socked away in my mattress in case society collapsed, but apparently it did not..

What am I gonna buy?

I can only refresh the EE so much.

Closest gun show is three weeks away.Turners sale has nothing I want.Even my friend doesn't have anything he wants to part with.

Only if I lived in a free country where gunz with all the evil features could be bought...

I'd buy the guns over a big screen TV. Guns are highly liquid assets. I would also try to buy them
"off the papers" if you can get them in CA.

Or, I'd buy one and put the rest away in the bank. Do NOT buy a big screen TV or any other electronics toy. Their depreciation is atrocious.

Also, do NOT blow your wad in Vegas, or in one of them "ranches"...the only you'll get in return is VD.

At first I thought you were talking about the Irish Republican Army. [lol]

And no, he meant an investment.

Put it all in a mutual fund. Save it for a really nice custom precision rifle.

I'd jump all over that, Duncan, but my country doesn't alow them [:(]

I'm not a big tv guy.Not really into them as far as buying the biggest or baddest.Happy with my 8" Philco B n'W [:D]

No debt.

Bed is 15 yrs old and I'll sleep on the floor before I spend 1,000 on a new bed.[:D]

Have an IRA and other investments.

Not into pc's either really.Just as long as I can log and surf the net.

Just bought some .223 ammo(Wolf 62 gr.[:D]) and reloading stuff:powder,primers, bullets for .45acp and 9mm.

I will eventually move to America.Waiting a couple more years or until I can sell my place and buy a nice spread somewhere free and clear.

Tell me about M1A's [}:D]

OOH.

Buy me an AR. Would that be a tax deductible charity? [:D]

About M1As, I've only heard good things about Scout Squad Rifles. The only M1A I've shot was a bone stock Springfield, it was great. I can only imagine a Scout Squad rifle as more fun. Maybe you could even go for a 'Black Hawk Down' setup.

That gets you a nice down payment on a precision Swiss or German timepiece.

On second thought that may not be a good idea because someone will take it from you when they think you don't need it anymore.
