Went to the local fun show this weekend to find a .50 bmg, not much there and nothing that would fit me as a lefty. I had a wad of cash and a wife to carry the load so we went nuts.
One palet jack load later here's what we brought home:

I broght home following in order of the picture:
1945 Springfield M1 Garand
Imbel FAL
G3 Cetme
SAR-2
not in the picture was 1660rds. of .308, 1000rds. SS109, UZI parts kit, box of bakalite ak-74 mags, 480rd. tin of 7x54r.

The wife was looking for a USP compact or an XD compact, neither was at the show so she came home with this sweet %95 HK P7M8 pistol for concealed carry.

Needless to say it was a GOOD show:)

Man, when you go to the gun show, you really go to the gun show!  Have fun with all your new toys.  I had a CETME which I sold, it shot ok, but the rear sight was welded on crooked.  Maybe I will pick up another one someday.  Until then I have a AR10 to play with.  I like the FAL, that may be my next purchase.

I was at the show yesterday here in Tucson and it was by far the worst show I had ever seen! Nothing but crap and overpriced crap at that. Very few exhibitors. I guess all the good stuff stays back east when it gets hot here. It was over 100 yesterday. Anyway, I was very dissapointed. Glad you got some deals.

To add insult to injury here are the prices we paid:[}:D]

Garand $500(barrel is correctly dated and is not a re-work gun)

Imbel FAL $400 (I already have one, but for that price why not two!)

Cetme $298

Sar-2 $314

HK P7M8 $750 (two mags, and a nice galco holster, plus it keeps her from shooting mine)

SS109 ammo $180 for 1k rds.

$200 for 1660 rds. of spanish .308

$150 for a complete uzi kit to keep my uzi running.

I'm still kicking myself for passing up a Colt 1911 in .38 super for $350 and a pallet load of walther PPK's new in the box for $200

DDUBB, move to a free state like Idaho and enjoy your god given freedom!

Why would I want to move away from here?  Great weather, ocean views, totalitarian Nazi dickheads everywhere.  Oh yeah, and gunshows with no guns.  Well, there was that black powder guy...

I picked up an Imbel Gear logo receiver for $270 and an ASA AR lower for $110.  I've got the Imbel barreled to an 18" Steyer barrel, and it only needs to be headspaced.

I'll have the lower completed by the end of the month using a Bushy or DPMS internals and an ACE tubular stock.

I know the ASA doesn't have a good rep, but it sure looks well made.  I'm getting a Bushy fluted heavy barrel for it, but will eventually mount it on a Bushy or Armalite lower later on and put the ASA on a shorty configuration.

The ASA lower should be fine. Rumor has it that ASA is getting them from RRA now after Bob got sued and lost 25k to Lewis Machine & Tool. Just don't try to sell a complete rifle with that lower on it. People will see ASA and run.

My only purchase at yesterday's show in AZ was a LNIB Insight M3 with batteries for $40.

innocent_bystander:

I picked up on that after I got home and searched for info here on ASA.  It was an impulse buy.  I don't plan on selling it, anyway.  I'm through selling guns.  I got rid of a lot of stuff that was basicly junk that I carted around for years.  Overall it was a good decision, except for my preban Colt and Bushy (which were not junk).  As time marches on, I think I made a mistake there.  I got good money for them, but I regret selling them.  Maybe next year it won't matter.

I went to the show here, on the EE. Got to chatting with another customer, at some guys table, and low and behold he, (the other customer), had a bushy carry handle for $70. So I got an ok deal at the show... without leaving my chair!! [:D]

Take a close look to your CETME  I just picked one up at the gun show this past weekend (rifle, case, 5 rnd mag, 2 20 round G3 mags, and mag pouch 415 out the door).  Mine checked out ok, but one thing to look out for is a ground bolt, if that comes up send it right back to century.  Check your headspace, cycle the action pull the trigger, and with a feeler gauge check the space between the bolt face and carrier should be between .004 and .020 inches if not look into over/undersize G3 rollers.  Other than that have fun and buy a lot of the Portugese 7.62x51
