Howdy folks! I'm kinda new here, so forgive any stupid posting mistakes that may happen in the future. I have snooped around here for a while, then decided,'What the hell. Everyone here like's the Wonderful Black Rifle, and so do I, so let's join up and make some trouble!' And so here I am. Great to be in this place. LONG LIVE THE AR-15. Question of the day - If you could fight a war, would you want a small band of professional soldiers that were highly trained and well equipped, or an overwhelming bunch of ragtags that were well armed? 2nd Question of the day - What rifle would be a good beginner's choice for Camp Perry? The AR-15, the M-1 Garand, the M-1A, or the good ol' 03' Springfield?

AR-15 as a beginner rifle for highpower? How difficult is 600 yard shooting? Furthest I've shot an AR-15 is 300.

Ive never heard anyone suggest an AK, or mini-14 for anything... accept for people who can't afford an AR.
