Not sad or funny. It's scary. She shot the pacement right by the guy's head and in front of the officer's knee.

Oh, and before you diss the idiot cop who shot the pistol, stupidity isn't an exclusively female phenomenon. This happened 2 days ago about a block away from my house. I heard the sirens of the cops responding. Anchorage police officer Paul Morino, left, is tended to by a fellow officer after he accidently shot himself in the foot Thursday morning. Morino and other APD officers were assisting U.S. marshals in a chase. Morino, with the department for 18 years, parked his police car at Woronzof Drive and Romanzof Circle, McGee said. He was with another office near Northern Lights Boulevard and Woronzof when, as he was returning to his car, his shotgun went off and hit him in the left foot. He hopped on his other foot and cursed, a witness said, and another police officer came running over, asking: "Are you shot? Are you shot?" About that time, three or four other officers came around a corner and helped Marino to his car, about 15 feet away. Morino sat on the ground, while the other officers put a blanket around him and called for medics. McGee said there will be an investigation into the shooting, which is standard procedure.

This is why guns are dangerous...because they always "just go off". Think about the damage that could have been done if the guys actually pulled the trigger!! Moron Sgtar15

It's sad how unfamiliar some Cops are with guns. It's like a race car driver that drives twice a year and wonders why they aren't that good. These fools need to get some serious weapons familiarity. Simply qualifying once or twice a year is no where near enough. They need to get hundreds of rounds down range a month. The sad part is the government trusts their abilities more than mine. Would you trust someone who puts two hundred rounds down range a year to qualify or someone who puts thousands of rounds down range w/ mulitiple weapons a year? I used to work w/ a female officer who's weapon didn't fire at qualifying b/c she hadn't fired or cleaned it since last years qualifying!
