If you do a frame-by-frame it looks like the poor bastard on the ground took it in the shoulder/outside part of the right upper arm. If you ask me, that's a multi-million-dollar bullet hole; that's what he's going to get out of the city when he's done with the lawsuit.

Um, aren't you supposed to keep your finger OFF the EFFING TRIGGER until ready to shoot? Including when holding a suspect at gun point? I stepped through the vid and checked. She pulled the trigger. It didn't go off by itself.

they said come down to the armorers cage and sign on the line. Then they pull a Glock POS off the rack and give it to the POS cop.
Link Posted: 5/16/2003 8:01:11 PM EDT
Most cops are NOT firearms experts, nor are they that well trained and if you combine that with someone who is fat, stupid and lazy this is what happens. That fat broad may have fired 200-300 rounds a year and cleaned that gun after the semi-annual trip to the range. Make someone with that level of training nervous and stupid things happen. She had her finger on the trigger, she was not looking wear the gun was pointing and it looks like she got the cop who was cuffing the suspect in the leg.
Link Posted: 5/16/2003 8:08:10 PM EDT
If I was the male officer, after I finished cuffing the suspect, I would have beat the woman senseless w/ my asp. Now there's a cop who probably only takes her gun from the holster to qualify. She was probably surprised it actually worked! The PD I used to work for had a female officer there that shot herself in the ass. She claimed that she was hanging her patrol bike back on the rack and the brake handle depressed the trigger. They bought the story, b/c I think they didn't want to embarrass the dumb lady. Truth be toled, the holster she had on didn't allow for an exposed trigger, thus making her story BS. General consensus was that she was quick drawing to practice when she had her ND. That's almost as funny as the officer who was caught dry firing his weapon at a sign on top of a public parking garage in broad daylight!!! I'm glad I'm no longer w/ that PD.

Yikes! Hair trigger?
Link Posted: 5/16/2003 8:19:19 PM EDT
I think we were all to hard on the nice police lady, she gave us all some entertainment tonight and at the very least she just made a "what not to do" training film [:D] And she did fulfill the first command of bein g a good cop,she went home that night safe and sound (all safe except for the other officers foot up her fat ass that is)

That was a Beretta retard. A pulled trigger sends a bullet downrange regaurdless of how many BS "safeties" you put in the way.
Link Posted: 5/16/2003 8:27:54 PM EDT
I hope the perp sues her ass off, and the department to boot. Injured or not, maybe for "post traumatic stress disorder"? If she didn't lose her job for this, there ain't no justice in the world anymore.
Link Posted: 5/16/2003 8:29:50 PM EDT
Holy crap, that's a beretta she ND'd. It looks like the hammer was down also, so it was a double action pull. That is a major FU! A double action beretta pull is really really long. She should be fired and be tried for discharging a firearm within city limits, assault on a peace officer and being an A number one dipsh!t!
