Squirrel scurried up to the fence of the back yard and I finally nailed his ass. Got a headshot with scoped pellet rifle from about 30 feet.

He no stay woke!

My pellet rifle is named "Natural Causes" because my next door neighbor's tree hugging girlfriend picked up a dead squirrel (with an obvious through and through chest shot), held it up and asked me if this looks like a gunshot wound.  I told her it looked like it died of natural causes to me.  My neighbor (who knew exactly what had happened) started laughing his ass off.

The name stuck, and many squirrels have been known to succumb to natural causes in my yard.

But you missed his eye!
Took my son on his first squirrel hunt last fall. He asks me where to shoot if we see one. Right in the head son,aim for the eye.
A little later out pops a squirrel, bang, walk over and pick it up and he hit it perfectly right in the eye from about 30 yards.
Hell I was impressed.

Taxidermist even commented on not having to sew anything up it was such a perfect shot to the eyeball.

Had my sons little grey mounted and  new wood for it and My first squirrel I killed when I was eight. Melanistic phased red squirrel, pretty rare around here and the only reason my grandpa had a damn squirrel mounted for me.

Popped this one at the deer lease from about 30-35yds. 10-22 GM fluted bull barrel, vq trigger, bolt headspaced/polished, hogue stock. My buddy had just gotten this app to blur out spots in pics, so he gave me the secret squirrel treatment.

It is not easy to kill a coon in a live catch trap , They face you head on and that head is hard.

Possums are no problem

I have not tried the Benjamin Marauder on coon yet but I would think it would easily kill one.  People are killing wild hogs with them.

Lived off squirrels at deer camp for a couple days last fall.  Slow cooked in cast iron dutch oven with potatoes and onions.  Damn that was good.

The shortage has done some really strange things to availability and pricing,
especially for CCI, they seem to have taken a lot of things out of production.

I did see that Velocitors are starting to reappear, so maybe 0074 will show soon.

This thread had plenty of kill it, yet is completely devoid of grill it.

I don't heart this thread at all.

I shoot them at home and at work.  Season is open all year I think.

After we spent 6k+ to re hose a bucket truck I am not to worried about season

I do not eat them because my wife will not and the ones in town all eat the lead roof jacks on the houses.  This is the reason I started shooting them.

I worked in a high end jewelry store years ago. A lot of foreigners worked there.
Someone had the bright idea to bring in a dish or two of your native cuisine.
I brought in fried squirrel. Some co workers were no amused.

I shoot them with an old Sears bolt action rifle with CB longs. They never hear me commin.

Not a lot of squirrels this spring because of the hawk nest up in one of our oaks. They've cleaned up the squirrels, field mice, snakes and bunnies around us.
