In your pic, it looks like the flash hole was drilled out the same size as the primer pocket itself. View Quote There was no drilling. The primer pocket is too deep for how thin it needs to be. So the hole is the primer pocket. I tried to leave it deep enough to have material left at the bottom of the primer pocket, but the height was too much and interfered with the pocket clip. It needs to be the thickness of the rim essentially. I looked for a washer and nothing I had would work. I thought about gluing a washer to the under side of the 9mm rim. That would work. If I could find a washer that worked. I swear I had some. |

I had the good fortune of being able to hold WIC's Kwaiken and Hattin at the same time. The kwaiken felt more nimble in the hand, but the Hattin fit my hands better and felt like more of an extension of my hand than the Kwaiken did. By way of comparison, the Tiger fits my hand perfectly, the 8F is a VERY close second, then the as a close third. The Commander and P-SARK follow that.....Kwaiken fits in between the P-SARK and Commander for hand fit. |

Question on the fancy plates, are they smooth are have valleys in the details? Thanks! If I'm honest, the plates jumped out at me too. Lol The point of the photographs was NOT the plates... it was your awesome knife. Okay.... quick rundown on DFarm's awesome kitchen knife that I have been so lucky to purchase: I've only used it to cut Bell Peppers and Pork Chops so far. The knife is sharp. The blade is a hair under 3 inches long. OAL is right at 7 inches. The handle is smooth and well contoured and fits the hand well. I wear XL gloves and it fits my hands, and my 8 year old daughter had no problems wielding it on the peppers. I've been studying the knife and looking for any flaws in the interest of honest feedback/critique...and the only thing I can find is size of the blade. That blade shape in a 5-7 inch knife would be fantastic. This size is very useful as utility knife, but bigger would be nice in this shape for kitchen. The fit and finish is solid. The knife cuts very well and until I told my daughter the knife was very sharp, she was being kinda low key with it...meaning it was not intimidating to her. With regard to cost vs value (to the user)....I know DFarm is trying to get his work out and into the world for review, but I got WAAAAAAAY more knife than I paid for. I should be telling you guys his knife is awful and not to buy his knives so I can commission a full set of kitchen knives from him...but I'd be lying and doing his work a disservice. @DFarm....You knocked it out of the park, Brother. When you move to Missouri, I'll be driving down to pester you for more knives. I will bring beverages of your choice and I can behave in a forge. |
