I feel the same way. The behemothers are pretty sweet.

KFB1 had a massive barong from BRK. Huge. All A2. I think he said it was under $300. I should have grabbed a pic. As much as I dislike BRK, something like that would be tempting. If I needed to chop stuff.

The CPKs keep me at bay adequately each time I see the price.

If I still drank beer.

For some reason, the sellers aren't sure because it's a big stocking order that just arrived.   We'll, if the only way to determine if that shipment has any Elmax is to open some boxes then too bad so sad, you better open some boxes or contact the buyer, apologize and make it right.

Too many sellers of damn near everything you can buy treat their customers as if you are lucky they are talking to you and even considering  selling you something.  I'm not talking about taking shit from the special snowflake customer that pops up every now and then and will never be satisfied but rather just a regular guy who wants a modicum of respect and service for their hard earned money.

I don't get hyped up about steels other than it's cool to try some of the variety that's out there.  If I had to use a knife in say a defense situation, a trauma doc isn't going to look at me and say "good thing he was using S30V.  Maxamet would have killed you."  Lol

I doubt there was any fraudulent intent. You wouldn’t be able to tell which steel was used from opening it up either. Both the knife and the box are completely unmarked. I just noticed all of the recent UTs I’ve been seeing were 204P, and they do them in runs. Hence, no way it’s Elmax with that date. On the flip side I guess I can’t say it’s not Elmax either, but whatever. It’s one of the three and it’s staying. Horse is so dead it’s not even bruising anymore.

His comments are an interesting start to a larger conversation though. It is no longer "caveat emptor" in today's market place.

As a maxim of the early common law, the rule was well suited to buying and selling carried on in the open marketplace or among close neighburs. The increasing complexity of modern commerce has placed the buyer at a disadvantage. He is forced to rely more and more upon the skill, judgment, and honesty of the seller and manufacturer.

And that's why you shouldn't buy from BHQ.

Girls are definitely weird.

As a young Marine I said I wanted to live with a buncha chicks.
I was thinking Hugh Hefner and the Playboy Mansion kinda thing.
Unfortunately I did not specify.
So while I currently live with 4 females....it's far from what I had originally envisioned.
They can be sweet and awesome, but they can also be very strange and hostile without warning.

That’s an interesting thought, how modern commerce has essentially negated application of those antiquated concepts like caveat emptor. Especially true in a country where half the population fulfills their shopping needs from home out of fear of contracting a fatal illness at the mall.

I'm not talking about upstanding, hard working Coasties....

I'm talking gnarly rando sailors who'd drink your beer while buttfucking your cat and drop the rubber in your bagel when they're done.

St Louis is pretty similar to that level with the Cardinals and the Blues.

Hot AF.

Apparently KJ had their Smock available for 87 seconds.

It's a great time.

You guys should come by. We have people driving in from Texas, NC, and Michigan on the regular. One guy flew in from Maryland.
2 days of shooting and having lots of fun.

Like a Cola Warrior type event?

Kinda, but without all the deliberate coke chugging and peep scarfing....
Any puking is usually the result of the heavy drinking after the day shooting.
You have to use an AK (or approved derivative) to compete for prizes, but if you want to shoot with an AR, you can.
Fun and challenging stages, and we had two different night shoots this year.
It's worth the trek out if you're not in Missouri.
Currently limited to 60 shooters...might be bumped up to 90 for the summer when the prizes are available.
Sponsored by PSA with prizes donated from Primary Arms and others. Rob Ski from AK Operators Union showed up for the last one.
This Winter shoot sold out pretty quick.
