I knew the restrictions in europe, but that is not the reason coming to mind. figured it was some kind of cost saving measure as they reused the blade from something else.

Back when I was researching the TRE, it came up that that was the idea behind the knife on a forum where LS was active. Under 3" and you can remove the flipper or the thumb disc or both. Consider though, for the TRE, the G10 one like mine has an integral flipper (and costs less) vs. the Ti and CF ones with the swedge that have the Three Rapid Exchange thing with the removable. So they have no issue making different blades for the same model it seems and they use the removable deal on the higher end one by choice.

I bet the Kur would be pretty cool without the flipper. Just pinch open.  Nice it can be removed in that way, just looks odd not being used to it.

I can't remember who I got mine from right now, some Euro maker but mine made my blade ever so slightly off-center. Not super noticeable but you can see it if you look for it.

I don't get it. I thought it was overpriced when it was 20CV (and that 20CV was inappropriate for a knife that size).

So the S35VN is an "improvement" and they can charge more?

Or will retail price be laughably lower?

When is Lynn coming back?

He's right. If you want to resell, the CRK crowd is looking for that kind of stuff and it will knock the price down.

The replacement box is the most basic cardboard box with a CRK sticker on top. The "docs" they will send is just a CRK COA that names the model and says "replacement" on it, not all the docs.

Not too worried about that this time. I decided I miss having a Sebenza, and this was one of two that I wanted most anyway, so when the opportunity came I took it. I intend to keep it more or less permanently.
