Officials from the 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force base in Florida are asking the local community not to feed birds on or near the base because an increase in bird population poses a dangerous threat to aircraft. Since January, the base experienced three bird air strikes to aircraft, including damage to a T-38C, a KC-135R and most recently, an F-117 during the air show. Annually, the Air Force experiences an average of $34 million in damages from bird strikes. The Air Force also loses, on average, one aircraft per year due to the strikes. Undated file photo. Indonesian singer Inul Daratista who is famous with her 'drilling' dance, sings in this photo taken in March 2003, at a cafe in Surabaya, East Java. People in Indonesia appear obsessed recently with one topic: Inul and the sexy way she 'drills' her lower body when she dances amid criticism from Islamic authorities calling her to stop dancing, saying it is damaging the country's morals and could lead to an increase in sex crimes. No, its reactive armor. If they take a hit in the head the reactive armor explodes and then... then... oh hell, never mind.

Another reason why we can't accept socialized medicine.  These commies will "conquer" SARs ONLY AFTER we figure out what to do.  Then they will take credit for it.

Ya gotta remember, Colombia is near the equator, so it's always cold there. [;D]

I doubt it ever gets cold in Columbia, they must be at higher altitudes in the mountains.

Ever notice snow on mountaintops year round? Did you think it was warm weather snow? It gets cold at altitude summer or winter, sometimes bitterly so.

BTW, for the guy who said Columbia is in the southern hemisphere, go look at a map.

Thanks as always, but I have a request today. Could you possibly put a link to the drill dancer ,as I would like to see what in the world has the Muslim world in terror. We could always send our Elvis impersonates to ruin them next time!

Ding-ding-ding!  We have a winner.

They are a new unit that was recently formed for the purpose of fighting anti-government rebels who have been operating out of mountain strongholds.

But then again, that's what is said in the  caption.

Sorry, I don't have a link but I'm guessing if you "Google" the singer's name, you could find something pretty quick.

Why not just have some of the enlisted men go out and shoot a bunch of the birds?

Let's see at least $34 MILLION in damage to planes annually vs. $100 worth of shotgun shells..........................

I suppose the birds are somehow Federally protected........[rolleyes]

30 years in prison on Death Row. This guy can never be released even if he's completely exonerated from all charges against him. He's got to be completely bananas by now.
