What would be your choice if you had to choose just one firearm?  I would take my Plastic Fantastic 45.

Can I have one lower and two uppers, or just one complete rifle? I'd go with my 16" heavy barrel if I could only have one complete rifle.

Real weapon? M16w/M203grenade launcher

From the movies(couldn't help it), In ALIENS the "smart guns", those machineguns that were attched to your hip and your body armor with the eye-piece targeting system like Vasquez wore..."LET'S ROCK!!!!". OK OK I watch too much TV

12GA shotgun with 21" barrel (modified choke)and bead sight.  IMHO good for defense and hunting.
If food aquisition was not an issue, my Glock 19 would be the one to keep because I can take it everywhere.

Gee whiz, I only have 2 guns to choose from. If I had a gf then I would get her a superbra and keep the .38 for her.  Otherwise I would have to go with my 10/22.

I'm -almost- with Chimbrazo here...

If food is an issue...  Benelli M1 Super 90 w/ pistol grip.

If it's only defense...  I'll take my tupperware as well, Glock 22.
