I got my c&r on Friday.  It took almost three months.  I think that is longer than usual.  I noticed that COZ-45 (in the Houston area also)posted that he received his and it only took six weeks.
Funny thing, last Tuesday I emailed the ATF NLC to ask about the status of my c&r and the next morning I got a very nice email from them saying it had been mailed the day before.

I have a vague recollection that ATF is supposed to process applications within a month.  However, I’m [b]definitely[/b] not suggesting anyone call up ATF and start fussing based solely on my increasing faulty memory!!

That might be worth checking into, though.

Mine took six weeks.

I was later told by a vendor who does a lot of business with C&R holders that personal checks slow down the process and you’re better off sending a money order.  I have no idea if this is true!

I does appear that after a reasonable wait, a diplomatic phone call the ATF licensing center can speed things up.
