I'm flying to Phoenix in about an hour... I'll be at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale for surgery sometime this week.

My kidney is getting worse by the day, and I've finally found a specialist that can fix it, as what I have is a rather rare condition that supposedly only a handful of surgeons worldwide  are equipped to treat. Since I personally feel I'm too damn young to have one removed, I'll travel wherever and do whatever it takes to save it (I've always been kinda atteached to it anyways [;)] )

If any of you are the praying sort (and I know many are), I could certainly use a couple...  What sucks the most, is that my wife will NOT be able to join me due to financial reasons, so please keep her in your prayers as well.  The majority of my family is in the Phoenix area, so at least I won't be alone, but my wife will be, until I return home.

I'm tentatively scheduled to fly back home on May 1st, but obviously that is all subject to the outcome of my surgery...

I will keep in touch with G&B and DonR, so they will always have current info, in case anyone actually cares...

Wish me luck!

Good luck Anti.

You should make a pit stop in DFW on the way home. We could give that newly fixed kidney of yours a work out. Don't forget to opt for the extended warranty.

I'll say a prayer for you

Best of luck to you with your upcoming surgery.  I'm sure you will be in good hands.  I wish you a speedy recovery.  After all, you have to get back in the saddle soon so that you can enjoy that new LEGP rifle, right?  Our prayers are with you here in KS.

Good luck anti

Do everything you can to save your kidney.  I had one removed 30 years ago.  While you can get along fine with only one, it can be a hassle sometimes...no horseback riding, no torcycles....all sorts of little annoyances.

May the Lord God save and preserve you, may He bring up a hedge around you, may He keep you in the Palm of His Hand, and may He do the same for those who minister unto you.

In the name of our Savior, Amen.

Tim:

I wish you all the best with your surgery.  I figured you'd eventually have to do something with that kidney thing.

Take care, get well and get back here to all your friends on the forum.

I will include you and Cathy in my prayers.

Sory she is unable to go with you.

God Bless you both.

Be careful and take care of your kidney or else somebody somewhere is going to wake up in a bathtub full of ice with a fresh incision and a note saying GET TO A HOSPITAL YOU HAVE HOURS TO LIVE. [;)]

Tim,
You know that we'll be keeping you and Cathy in our thoughts this week. Take care, and PLEASE don't argue with the doctors. They just might actually know more than you do.[;)]

You're going to come through this just fine. Remember that I've always told you, "Heaven don't want you, and Hell's afraid you'll take over." [:D]

Anyone know the details of his kidney problems?  I've had a few problems with mine before.  Very rare too.  Wonder if it might be the same thing.

I had to take prednazone (steroid) every other day for 2 years and I've been fine for the past 8 or so years.

I wish you and your wife the best.

The flight out here was not too kind to my kidney, so I was enjoying a bit of Demerol along the way...  Then again as soon as I was on solid ground.

I finally got to meet GarryOwen (Cavalry Arms) yesterday afternoon.  I presented him with a rather large check for OKO sights and Cavalry Arms lowers for the LEGP deal.  He then gave my brother and I the nickle tour of his production facilities...  Very cool stuff!

Oh well...  I had better get something to eat, cause starting in about 3 hours, it's gonna be a really long week!  I'm scheduled to go in for my initial appointment at 9:45 this morning (it's 6:30am here right now).

I'll keep ya'll informed............

UPDATE:
Aparently, you guys haven't been praying hard enough...  According to one of the world's finest Urologists, it's not going to be nearly as simple, as first thought -- and may not even be possible to fix without a partial or even a complete removal.  [:(]

The doc told me to cancel my return airline reservations, because I won't be going anywhere for a couple of weeks at least.  This is NOT the news I was hoping for today!
