After reading about Glogg and Lefse, I am wondering what other culinary masterpieces I have missed out on.

If you have to pick one dish that is not a traditional thanksgiving dish, what would be your favorite.

Start with either Waldorf salad or Ambrosia and end with mincemeat pie and vanilla ice cream.

Armadillo Eggs.

Jalapenos stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese and wrapped  in a mixture of sausage, cheddar, and bisquick. THEN wrapped in bacon.

So good.

Fried chicken.  I'm going to eat a lot of it tomorrow.  And prime rib, there'll be some of that too.

About 8 years ago I had this girl Sue over for Thanksgiving.  She was a dish.  Had her for dessert later on.

A few years ago, we went to a friend's house for Thanksgiving.  We knew there'd already be turkey, and ham, and a ton of side dishes, so we decided to do one of our favorites and bring a lamb roast.

One of our other friends who was there told us that it was really nice for her personally, since it was one of her family traditions when she was growing up.

Not really a dish, more of a snack my mom would make us while we watched the parade.

Hanky Panky's.

We have always done home made egg noodles with all the regular trimmings.  A tradition that goes back to my Great Grandmother and probably beyond that.
