I always considered him a bit of a douchebag, but he's a funny douchebag, and he's outdone himself here trolling the Social Justice Police.
A little earlier this afternoon Patton Oswalt began trolling Twitter and the rest of the internet, trying to drum up outrage over nothing. Literally, nothing. What he did was simple: He started posting tweets that referenced and apologized for tweets he says he deleted because they were offensive, but of course the "deleted tweets” weren’t real. They never were. So this is what his feed looked like: Thousands of angry tweets ensued. Salon.com is particularly butt-hurt. Is there anything remotely amusing about watching a guy using his considerable talents to simultaneously mock the stupid and needle the allegedly "humorless” online? Far be it from me to judge how anyone spends their free time, but as a spectator sport, shooting fish in a barrel leaves a lot to be desired.  Hell yes, It's amusing  |

I'd bet that more than 87% of the "outraged" people, who said they are now "unfollowing" him, never followed him in the first palce.
The whole butthurt is akin to Spartanatheart ceasing his support for the NRA. Who follows a comedian on Twitter if they are upset by attempts at humor? |

He was never funny. Not in King of Queens, not in Justified, not in Burn Notice, not in person. He was halfway talented in Ratatouille, but only because it was scripted by a good writer and we didn't have to see his pasty mug. |
