CAMPYBOB is right, but if the leather is a car seat, it might be easier to take the ice to the leather. DO NOT try solvents, salves, snake oil, Hoppes #9 or any other stuff. Freeze the gum and remove.

If it will not fit in freezer, put ice on it and let it get cold. Then put peanutbutter on it and it should come off. This trick works great for Gum in hair. The Ice will make it stay together (harden it) the peanut butter will add a little oil to the situation allowing it to slid off.

You can get gum removers that come in a spray can that instantly freezes it so it chips right off. One is made by Ball Industries and is called Bubble Buster. I used it on gum stuck in carpet before and it works great![:)]
