I'm going to Biloxi Christmas evening. Do they sell tickets there or in Arkansas? If so I'll pick some up on the way if anybody wants.

Hmmmm - The Lottery is for the poor peasants who do not understand math... but, looks like 1GR will make a trip to the Oregon State line. Edited to add: Sorry JD, didn't see ya standing up there.

This is the way I view the Lottery - Me: I wanna play Powerball. Clerk: Cost ya' a buck. Me: Okay, here. Clerk: Good, now pick a number from 1 to 120,526,770. Me: Umm... 48,527,649 Clerk: Nope. Wanna guess again - cost ya' another buck? [:|] But I play anyway. Last week I bought 5 tickets and won $4.00 WHOO-HOO!!! [bounce]

No need to spend a lot on tickets. The average full jackpot winner spends $5.

I've heard you lose 10 brain cell points every time you play the lottery, buy NASCAR memorabilia or watch WWF...so I stay away

Hey, I won an 11 lb. ham at work the other day. And I never win anything. So I might as well buy a $2 ticket. 'Cause it'll take divine intervention to win twice in the same week anyways. [;)] BTW LT, is it better to take the annuity or the lump sum payment? Consultation fee forth coming on arrival of first check. [:D]

I took a trip to Caney,Kansas the other morning. I bought my tickets for five weeks ahead as well, so I'm good to go! You can't win unless you play! ;) Someone's gonna win

Well, since it doesn't sound like you're going very far do you want to go to Biloxi with us, to the casinos? I'm drivin!

You know Lordtrader, I bought two tickets today, not really expecting to win. To me its not really about winning, as a matter of fact, I've never won anything. I actually look back at my life and feel that I've lost most every thing that mattered to me at one time or another. Friends, loved ones, health. But for a few days, after buying a lottery ticket, I feel that for once in my life I'm on an even playing field. For once it doesn't matter who you are or how much you make or whether you're liked by others. It's all about luck. For a few days I secretly let myself dream about buying my mother a house with a big fireplace or I can dream of helping put my loved ones through college without a worry. I can dream of getting my father into the car of his dreams instead of giving him tips on keeping it running for another year. I can dream of telling the woman I love that I can take care of her for the rest of her life. I can hope to give my church a donation that will matter. I know I wont win but for a few days, I let myself dream of the endless possibilities. I think that's worth two-bucks.

I'll probably buy a few. If I win, my goal will be to run the ATF out of Form 4's [:D]

Based on the statistics of winning the lottery, I'd much rather take a shot with powerball (actually Pow'R Ball).

Got my three tickets...

One ticket and a $5 office pool entry.

I never play until it reachs 200 million. Most winners seem to be in the midwest. So, I don't bank on winning.

It's a big enough pot to make it worth a try, so what the hell. I'll put 5 or 10 bucks in the pot. Somebody's got to win it this time and it might as well be me. JoeDirt, if you need a driver for one of your 'Cudas, I'd be happy to send you a resume.[:)] Good luck to y'all.

I just drove 38 Miles one way to buy my winning ticket. I had to go to Indiana. After I win I will go the next gun show and make a couple venders very happy. [bounce] Bobwrench

Picked 10 up at work today. Only cost me 6 dollars because I won 4 dollars on the earlier drawing. whoohoo. Since I already spent my winnings, maybe I should have asked for the installment plan on my earlier winnings. [;)] Anyway, If I win the jackpot all by myself, a 30 rounder mag to everyone registered here. Thats, about 25,000 X 10... Petty cash. 250,000k. Don't worry, I won't win.
