1- Your federal government wants illegal immigration. They know every single illegal worker because their names don't match the SS number. Your thoughtful federal government sends letters to the illegals every year asking them to visit a SS office to fix the error. Every year, the illegals laugh at the joke and ignore it. The federal government does nothing between the yearly letter mailing. Why do you think the Border Patrol and INS is incompetent... maybe because it is on PURPOSE?

2- Your state government wants illegal immigration too. They know of the SS number to name miss-match because the feds share the records for tax revenue purposes. What the heck, more people in a higher tax bracket because they will not file for a refund.

3- Your Democractic Party wants illegal immigration. They want the vote of not only the legal vote of the relatives, but the illegal vote as well. You don't think motor-voter was about other things?

4- Your Republican Party (and mine) wants illegal immigration. Illegals occupy the low-skill, high-labor, and thus low-pay jobs that provides the basic items and helps the economy. You don't think that salad your eating was picked by an American, do you?

5- If the worker elgibility laws were enforced in the US, there would not be a border problem. There would not be an economic incentive to come here illegally. (Notice the common theme about not enforcing laws in many of our topics?).

There you go. You have now been armed with the truth of knowledge which your elite politicans don't want you to know. They don't think you have the faculties to understand this. The sleigh of hand, or the distraction, is the border issue.

You forgot that all of the above want illegal immigration because it also dilutes American culture. I hope these things are not new revelations for you.......

[size=3]Sounds like you may have a prejudice problem lurking in your subconscience? What is American culture anyway? I suppose you also have relatives that did the trail of tears as well? Or relatives that came over from the famine of Ireland? Or relatives that came over before the war of the pond? Or relatives that came over to escape the brutality of the Russian revolution?

The dilution of the culture is a dead-end and the politicans in power both at the state and federal level like it when you say these things. It takes the issue off on a racial tangent that won't get you anywhere. Focus on the ball which is enforce the worker elgibility rules both at the state and federal level. Take the high ground, give up statements like these, and don't get sucked down in the foray of the messy subtopics of culture, arming the border, taking away health care. These are all landmines purposefully setup to keep you off target and be largely ineffective at debating or advocating change.[/size=3]

What about MTBE's? They are being replaced by ethanol, which there isn't enough current domestic production to meet the new demand requirements. The Feds are subsidizing the development of ethanol processing plants.

Some states take the hit disproportionately for the social services that illegals are consuming.  As you state, control over the eligilibity of workers would help ease this issue and cool the hot-button issues that politicians use to manipulate us.

From what I've read ethanol is not a good bargain.  Energy expended to produce it is high and gas companies say they can produce gas that meets government standards without it.  Farmers probably are for it.

So what you are saying is that our Country doesn't have any culture worth protecting? The difference between the legal immigration of our ancestors and the illegal immigration (invasion) taking place now is that our ancestors came here because they believed in the American way of life and wanted to be part of it. The had no intentions of turning the U.S. into a larger version of what they came from like is happening today. The immigrants today for the most part have no intention of accepting our culture and beliefs and becoming part of our society. This is evidenced by the fact that they broke our laws to get here. They want to keep their culture and milk our country for whatever they can get from it. They do not want to contribute or become part of our Nation. And this is why they are so much of a danger to us all. Much more so than the financial reasons usually mentioned.

Took it to mean Personal Freedoms, Capitalism, The Great American Experiment, ect... all being negated by Big Government= less freedoms = socialism... .
