They stylus looks broken, there should be a (needle) sticking out of the bottom. Possibly just The angle of the pic but the ones I seen usually stick out far enough to be seen in the above pic

Try replacing the needle with a firing pin from your AR.

I would suggest using a BFH. I think that would fix your problem.
