Best all round that I have is my Nikon Ocean Pros. 7X50, rubber coated, nitrogen filled, with compass. Fast to focas and unbelieveable clarity. The 7X is a boaters choice cause of the continual bouncing but I've found they work great in the field for you can actually walk while using. Has a simple to use range finder scale in the lens for judging distance. I have other binocs, some smaller and others more powerful, but I like the Nikons best. Can't beat a Nikon lens.

Oh yea, price on the Nikons is around $250 to $300.
