Can anyone give me a recommendation on a good (but cheaper) vertical fore grip to mount on the M-33 hand guard's Picatinny Rail? I would like one that will hold some spare batteries but that is not a requirement. I really do not like the Fobus one... It just seems... well... ugly!

I am gonna get the M-33 and a Surefire G2 with the Fobus mount. I plan to put the grip right up near the base of the G2. Going for the poor man's SOCOM setup ya know? The Surefire grip/light combo is WAY outta my budget.

I am making my Christmas list! [:D]

Any advice/experience is appreciated!

Don't go with a hand guard mount ,you won't like it ,it moves to much.
I have the fobus on one and it's sort of OK but the other are bad.
On my main (favorite rifle) I have this ,

It's rock solid and affords a platform for mounting other things.

So, on one rifle the M-33 works OK but too loose on another? I was concerned about too much play but can accept a small amount. The mount you have is interesting but seems too far forward for a grip FOR ME. That would be perfect for the light mount if the grip needs to be too far forward to allow light mounting on the M-33.

That is a lot of useage for the word "too" is it not!! [:)]

For a cheap setup go for a UFIR and this grip in this pic.

UFIR looks like an option... Seems overpriced for what it is though... I guess that is gun stuff, eh?

Options, options.

Advance Armament has a kit just like the GG&G kit for 1/2 the price.  I will let you know how I like it when it comes in.  Ordered it today.
