Well, during the Tuesday night snowstorm / icestorm and 25 degree temperatures I went outside in a pair of shorts to broom off the satellite dish.

Other than having to stand barefoot in 3" of slush for a few minutes while I completed my task, it wasn't bad. A bit brisk, shall we say. [;)]

That's good and bad.

Let's see, it was 16 degrees at 4:30 PM and I was out with a wool shirt and a fleece vest. Still too warm for anything else.

Are you fucking kidding me? This is Texas and it's 108 outside right now. There's a cold front blowing through this weekend and it's supposed to drop down to the low 90's so I'll probably get my long-sleeved shirts out of storage. I heard that we might get some rain next month!

I was once in a relationship with a woman and I traveled a lot.  When separated by many miles, our phone conversations always included the "what are you wearing?" question.

Please tell me that's not what you meant!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

The AMMO Depot? I dunno? From the last that I saw, anyone can though.
Call the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce. They should know who has the security contract.

Running shorts and shoes, no shirt. I just came in from mowing the lawn and I am trying to cool off. The kids are running around in their swimsuits squirting each other with the hose. Later this evening when it cools off I am going to go out and start the grill for some BBQ.

Do you reside in the snow belt as I do, Campy? I am wearing all kinds of carrhart and getting ready to plow this mess. Maybe take the sled out if this keeps up. Then I will be wearing the full suit.

To all in Cali:  Enjoy your warmth, I'll enjoy my less restricted access to firearms. (Wish I lived in Vermont!)

Weatherwise, it just wouldn't be Thanksgiving or Christmas for me without cold, crisp air outside, the deciduous trees in the woods behind our home barren of leaves, or the stark, hazy shade of winter. Fresh snow falling is the only thing that could make it any better.

I don't think I could stand living somewhere where there was so little seasonal change. Heck, even the weather western Washington is a little too tame for me. I like the variety of well defined seasons.

I'd say it must be dipping down into the 30s and 40s here at night. I just put my Carhartt overalls and jacket on over my usual T-shirt and Wranglers. I wear Redwing insulated boots year round anyhow. If it gets too cold I guess I'll have to break out the Carhartt artic parka. That thing sure came in handy in Minnesota a few years ago.
