Dont think you need drivers, and if you did, how would you use the disk they are on if you didnt have the drivers for your device to work in the first place?

I have used many IDE and SCSI zip drives and have never needed drivers for any OS after win 98.

Troy hit the nail on the head. In the old days of parallel, you needed software that says, "hey, there's a zip drive on the parallel prt." If it's still not showing up, even with the proper master/ slave configuration, check the BIOS. Sometimes all IDE channels are set to AUTO, but from my experience with Dell and Gateway, they leave unused channels disabled in BIOS. You have to go in there and tell the pc something is connected to that channel.
