In Las Vegas, it is not illegal to carry a 'legally' concealed firearm into a casino. Even if signs are posted at a casino, you may still carry a 'legal' concealed firearm. Security must ask you if you have a firearm, and if you do, then they have to ask you to leave, and you must leave. Signs are not good enough, they need to tell you. They can not tackle you and try to take your weapon, and they can not arrest you with out first asking you to leave. It is illegal to carry concealed firearms into any establishment where more than 50% of income is from alcohol. In other words, no clubs, bars, strip bars. Obviously casinos don't fit this criteria.

Just a little story I was told by my CCW teacher. A man was in a casino a few years ago with a 'legally' concealed firearm. He was gambling with some friends and somehow security was alerted that this man had a firearm. Security approached this man without saying anything and engaged in a struggle to remove this firearm from this man. During the struggle, the firearm was discharged and a girl was shot, and later died. When the police was called, they came to the scene and the security told them what had happened. The police told the security, "Did you ask this man to leave before getting into the struggle?" The security replied "no", and the officer said "it's your ass then." The casino was forced to deal the lawsuit from the family of the victim as well as the unnecesary attention from this case. The man who had the "legally" concealed firearm faced no charges and was on his way.

... I know. I was stating that Big-Jerk made a statement regarding places serving alcohol mutually exclusive of your examples (and nuclear power plants and Military bases without written consent of the Commander, ad infinitum)

Where does any of the above say anything about a casino? Here in my state you can't legaly carry anyplace that only serves liquor,or gambling bets are paid,or posted Indian reservations. I'm sure there are many more, but if you carry where publicly posted its just an illegal trespass, and you will be asked to leave! What Mayo did was totally above the law,and he was just trying to be a responsible gun owner! And as usual he got shit for trying to do right! So what was your point? Bob [:D]
