I'm watching the memorial service and this guy is hamming it up to the cameras. Didn't his parents and sister die just five days ago? Holy shit. When Ralf (the rat in the picture to the left) died I cried for a week. I could understand him giving this speech in a couple weeks, but man, this can't be real. I'd be a wreck. Hell, when my dad died it rocked me for a while, and I didn't even like the guy. The saddest thing is the son seems like he is just grooming himself for a political run.

I'm telling you, these people are implacable. They'll stop at nothing--even if they have to trip over the body of a dead relative. I've seen it before. Pitiful indeed.

Gack, some gal on my softball team saw the blurb about his service on the news and said "that's so disheartening." I pointed out how silly that sounded. And some other things. I don't think she'll talk to me for a while [:)]

Yea, but rats are awesome. I've had a few as pets. They have a lot of character as well as charisma. One of mine would run across the room, jump in my glass of water, steal an ice cube and stash it behind the TV. She'd be sooooo pissed off when she went back the next day and couldn't find it. I've mourned a couple myself. Politicians and their ilk on the other hand, are what most people consider 'rodents'.

I just saw the [s]DemocRAT Rally[/s] .......I mean solemn Memorial Service [rolleyes] I thought the news networks said Wellstone had a daughter and two sons? It looked like to me a daughter, a son and a "what the F' is that"

... More from the memorial.

Im starting to wish that ALL of Wellstones children had been on the plane. These fuckers hijacked 3.5 hours of TV last night and made it into a campaign rally for Mondale. FUCKING ASSHOLES...EVERYONE WAS SMILING LIKE CLINTON HAD JUST WON THE PRESIDENCY... Too bad his sons were not on board that plane =(
Link Posted: 10/30/2002 5:24:06 AM EDT
Yet they bitched about the Republicans violating some mythical "moratorium" against campaigning. THEN they use the memorial service as a "Get out the vote" rally. Fuck them all. I'd love to see more DemocRATS perish in a fireball.

As I mentioned on another post, it is my opinion that the Dem's are on a mission to pull a gov't coup to take over this country. They will do this by whatever means available. To the Dem's the end does justify the means. Reports of massive voter fraud, taking control of elections and their outcome by use of the courts, and the fundraiser/political rally disguised as a 'memorial' service last night. The son was shameful, but is an example of the success of the dumbing down and brainwashing of the children. The father/mother/sister are not even cold yet and the son is now acting like a socialist liberal with with a new purpose in life. The dem's are shameless and disgusting in their quest for control, but they are open about their goal, and they will eat their dead if required to win.

My theory is that Mondale is becoming the Senate candidate so that one of the Wellstone boys can run in 6 years. Mondale is 74, so he probably won't want to go through another campaign when he's 80. This time his campaign won't even be a week.

My wife said she wouldn't watch it, because it would just be TOO sad. You know, Wellstone, his wife and daughter... dead. Presumably everyone would be crying.... Nope. Just a big campaign rally. As sad as a Democratic National Convention. Scumbags.

My poor senseless mother is a life-long Dem.... sad isn't it. My father and I love to talk about great Rep. heros like Reagan just within ear-shot of Mom... he he. I am so damn disgusted by the democRATS at this point, I actively campaign and contribute for my local republicans. I think it does make a difference. People actually do change their affiliation from one party to another. This is not a hopeless case. We just need to bring these rats out into the sunlight as often as possible... Don't just bitch to your republican buddies. Make an effort to speak in reasonable terms to your disillusioned democrat friends as well... P.S. Make sure your kids are brought up republican. The pubic schools are actively trying to make them into card carrying liberal democrats... beware!!! [soapbox] [soapbox]

The "memorial" was so political that even some of the local media were shocked. When sen. trent lott (r) walked in, people actually booed. The media guy on the radio this morning said it was the first time he ever heard people boo at a memorial. He also said that he had about 145 e-mails from viewers waiting for him when he got back last night--all but one were from people pissed off about what went on at the rally. He mentioned that most local media would probably give the republicans extra air time to try to balance things out after the dims 3.5? hour long advertisement last night. I saw some of what wellstone's youngest son said (the one whose gender is in question) on headline news this morning. He was shouting things like "mom was right, we're going to win," as his voice nearly cracked with emotion (pussy)--nice memorial. I'm sure all the repubs who showed up out of human decency were sure happy about how things went [rolleyes] Then someone called upon a republican representative (ramstad?) to honor his father, and to quit being so political, I imagine. I haven't had it confirmed, but I heard that at this point, the governor (ventura) and his wife got up and left.

I didn't see the memorial, judging from comments here, and the media reports with public comments, it very well may have helped his opponent!!

One more example of the Democrats dancing in the blood of the innocent dead to further their own agenda.

Remember the 2000 Dem convention when they booed the boyscouts. Sure, they may not like what the organization stands for, but you don't boo kids. Democrats really have no shame.

I turned on C-Span late last night, like I usually do when I want to fall asleep. I watched it for about 10 minutes before I realised it was a supposed to be a memorial for Wellstone. I actually thought it was a rally for the upcoming election. I saw a democRAT spokesman on the news saying "I know this is what he would have wanted". Well maybe, like father like son. If this is the future, we are indeed doomed. [:(]
