I know this board has plenty of opinions so how about some on the Remington , Sportsmen , 21 gun, gun safe on sale at Dicks Sporting Goods . Regular price $799 . They have it on sale for $669 . Last week the same model was on sale for $699 How low will it go ??? Anyone own one of these ?? How good are they ? I looked at the display model last week and to me ( novice on gun safes ) it looked pretty good . Combo lock W/key , internal hinges . 375 lbs empty and 1200 deg. for 20 minutes I believe . Much better than my Homak gun cabinet .

I didn't think it was any better than the safes on sale at Home Depot every year or so, for $300 less. Plus HD will rent you a truck for 20 bucks to get it home.

i think you should spend the little extra and buy from a locally owned store. keeping your money local helps everyone.

Remington safes are good. Dicks prices are hard to beat. $699.00?, you most certainly have that tied up in one gun so why not spend as much to protect them all? The best advice I can give is buy a safe with twice the capacity that you think you need. They never hold as many as advertised. It might hold 21 Ruger 1022's but mix in some SxS shotguns and some SBR's then throw in a couple of scoped rifles and see if it holds 21 guns. You will fill it up faster than you think.
