Magpul plans to give away 1,500 30-round ammunition magazines in Colorado on Saturday, just a couple days before the ban goes into effect. The magazines will be given away at a “Freedom Festival” on a first-come first-served basis. The event will be held at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colo., from 4-8 p.m., Magpul announced on its official Facebook page.

So, Coloradoans will be able to own "Pre-Ban" mags of greater than 15 rounds after the ban begins? I thought they were banning ALL 15+ round magazines.
|
|
Only worth a shit if everyone loads them afterwards and then marches to the state capital.

The only thing better than Magpul giving away these mags would be if they donated them to a nonprofit first so they could claim a tax write off for their cost.

Good for them!!!
I haven't been keeping up, but didn't Magpul say they were leaving Colorado? |
|
From another post I read, they aren't free. The price you pay for the ticket determines if you get a magazine or not.
Eta: maybe this is separate from the mags with ticket purchase. |

I wonder if some nutcase lib from MAIG is gonna come pick one up and then hit it with a hammer pretending they're saving lives? I wouldn't be surprised.

I should get a call from one of the organizers this afternoon. I'll ask if they need more volunteers. I'm told they will have a T-shirt and CO Pmag for all the helpers. |

They could probably sell more directly to the general US populace for a few $ more and donate the $ to the CO opposition if they had a mind to. |

I get that...So 30 round mags will be legal to own after the ban if you own them prior to the ban? Just wondering how they will keep track of that since magazines are neither serialized or date coded (anymore) |

They sold them both in 5 packs, but they sold out in about 5 minutes |

One of my FB "friends" plans to get one and run over it in the parking lot. I don't think he knows how well made they are. They are also letting people buy magazines. I can't go but a friend is going to find me a Boulder Airlift one. (Hopefully they have 40's there!!!) The money from people buying mags will be used for politicial pro-gun uses. |

I bet Bloomberg has his paid cronies stand in line and get as many as they can dispose of

If he ain't doing it to show how tough they are, then you need some new FB friends...or STFO FB alltogether |

Some local news article was saying they were giving away ammo trying to get everybody worked up.
Good for Magpul. I'd love to have a Free Colorado mag as a collectible. |

I bet Bloomberg has his paid cronies stand in line and get as many as they can dispose of And MP will make some more and CO residents will go about getting them just as any other contraband ever created by asinine regulations. I've often thought that if the ecowhackoists really want to try to mess with hunting, they should "sponsor" a tag and try to get drawn and save some poor critter from ending up on a plate and a wall somewhere. I like this approach because then when the population get's out of hand because nothing is getting shot- I'll get in on the early spring damage hunt and finally get me something with spots on it that's not a bobcat... They change NOTHING. Sly |
