In the movie, where Charlie has his first taste of Pacino, there was a country song playing in his bungalow, is was by a female..  almost a Ballad..  nice slow dance.. wonderful voice..  I am in need of the name of the singer and the title of the song...  If anyone knows the answer, it'll be ya'll..    and no, I'm not talking about the famous tango..

Thanks  [:)]

Check the snippets Amazon lists.  Maybe it's one of the four they have samples of.

I find a lot of soundtrack songs this way.

Thanks Raven..  I already checked the soundtrack.. it has all the orhestrative music on the track.. I went down each song on the track and listened before I made my request to ya'll..

The song is a waltz or a slow dance..  her voice makes you melt..  [:)]

Country and ballad. I'm thinking Patsy Cline. I'm also thinking At Last by Etta James. It's not country, but an awfully popular romantic ballad. Never seen the movie, so these are just guesses.

Check the IMDB site . It might give you a few links or leads to chase down. I've traced down more than a few songs that were bugging me from there.

If you recall any of the words, try some of the song lyrics sites.

Other than that, rent the movie and freeze the credits (if you can read them).

IMDb has let us down. They don't have a "soundtrack listing" link for this movie.....

Heres the lyrics, they were  hard to find. I am having problems getting an mp3 address to show on realplayer instead of my stupid aol which is corrupt[rolleyes]

Evangeline

She stands on the banks of the mighty Mississippi
Alone in the pale moonlight
Waitin' for a man, a riverboat gambler
Said that he'd return tonight

They used to waltz on the banks of the mighty Mississippi
Lovin' the whole night through
He was a riverboat gambler off to make a killin'
And bring it on back to you

Evangeline Evangeline
Curses the soul of the Mississippi Queen
That pulled her man away

Bayou Sam from South Louisian'
Had gamblin' in his veins
Evangeline from the maritime
Was slowly goin' insane

High on the top of a Hickory Hill
She stands in the lightning and thunder
Down on the river the boat was a sinkin'
She watched that Queen go under

Evangeline Evangeline
Curses the soul of the Mississippi Queen
That pulled her man away

Evangeline Evangeline
Curses the soul of the Mississippi Queen
That pulled her man away
