It hurts so bad, my eyelids are aching. Last night, my best friend from highschool took the plunge and got hitched. I was his best man. It wasn't a real big wedding. There were about 100 people. The DJ was excellent and there was a busy dance floor. The three groomsmen broke the seal on a 5th of Makers Mark right before the ceremony and each did a shot. I polished off the remains of that fifth by 8pm. I cracked the seal on the second fifth of Makers and by midnight, there was only 2 shots left in the bottom. I drank all but 4 shots worth out of 2 fifths of Makers Mark. I am in living hell. I've already shit 3 times since 9am. I feel like I got run over by a road grader.

that was stupid of you so how many shots do you get out of two fifths?

I had a similar problem this morning. Best advice I can give is drink water, take about three ibuprofen, and go back to bed.

25.6 shots in a fifth. Right at about 45 shots over a 8 hour stretch. I think I am going back to bed. Tweety hasn't even gotten up yet, and she only had about 1/2 a fifth of Skyy Vodka.

Been there, done that, but not in the last 15 yrs or so. Lots of water, ginseng, B12 when you can eat.

no, a shot is one fluid oz. There's 25.6 oz in a fifth. I just pour into the glass. No such thing as too strong. The only reason I am alive and well is because it was over an 8 hour stretch. Any shorter and I would have been hurt. I got a high tolerance for bourbon. [:D]

What does this thing give as an estimate for your BAC? http://www.copscgi.com/bac.shtml Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) Affect on Motor Skills At .020 light to moderate drinkers begin to feel some effects. At .040 most people begin to feel relaxed. At .060 judgment is somewhat impaired, people are less able to make rational decisions about their capabilities (eg. driving). At .080 there is a definite impairment of muscle coordination and driving skills; this is legal level for intoxication in some states. At .10 there is a clear deterioration of reaction time and control; this is legally drunk in most states. At .120 vomiting usually occurs. Unless this level is reached slowly or a person has developed a tolerance to alcohol. At .150 balance and movement are impaired. This blood-alcohol level means the equivalent of 1/2 pint of whiskey is circulating in the blood stream. At .300 many people lose consciousness. At .400 most people lose consciousness; some die. At .450 breathing stops; this is a fatal dose for most people

.42 But Maker's is 90 proof. Not 96. Factoring in the lighter proof, I would say I was in the high .3's

When I was 20 I woke up with a hangover so bad I said never again. Quit drinking then and there. Never had much of a craving for being drunk anyhow, too much of a (self) control freak. Of course since I quit drinking God cursed me with migraines. [rolleyes] Sorry man, I feel for ya. Ugh. Take lots of Excedrin and drink lots of water. Sleep is good too.

Are you sure about that? I think we measured out a fifth one time, and came up with about 18 shots. Regardless, I know how you feel. Not there this morning, but have been there recently. The only cure is a ice cold budwieser. [:)]

When you get home from a night of drinking, drink a bottle of Gatorade or Pedialite before going to sleep. It replace the fluids you lost due to the alcohol dehydrating you, and gets your electrolytes back on track. Works for me.
