It will make the general populace feel better that the bad persons are being 'admonished' and shows that the police are actively doing something.
The bad persons are probably on their way to turn themselves in after hearing this. On a positive note, the Chief isn't running around yelling that the sky is falling or feeding a media frenzy. |

I would venture that the Chief has been awake for 4 days straight. Based on the facts put out he has no clue who did this, what kind of vehicle was used or what kind of rifle was used, other than a .22 something bore high powered rifle. He does know that he has alot of people killed seemingly at random. He does not want more people shot, which seems perfectly reasonable. He therefore with little else to go on, asked the terrorists to stop.

Remember the DC area has no guns.
I Can't see how so many could be shot and there are no witnesses. All were shot with a single shot? Obviously there is someone out there with a screw loose. I pray that the perp screws up and gets caught soon. |

We all know this is the correct way to deal with a bad person. By asking them politely to please stop you do not infer blame or injure their self esteem. After all it is societies fault they became bad people.
You bastards should be more sensitive! mike |
