a couple of weeks ago when GWB was trying to sell us on the war, he cited Saddam's failure to return prisoners as a reason. what POWs was he talking about?

are there US POWS in Iraq? what should we do about this?

There was a US pilot shot down during the first day of the Gulf War (unfortunately I cannot remember his name now) he was reported dead by the Iraqis but they never turned over his body. The US listed his as dead for several years but has changed his status to missing due to persistence reports that he was alive after his plane went down and was being held prisoner this included several eyewitness reports.

Also a lot of Kuwaitis that were taken by the Iraqis and they promised to return after the cease-fire have just disappeared.
