I also have a friend who is trying to decide between an AR-10 (Armalite AR - 10B) and an M1A regular or scout...

I am not knowledgable enough to make a recommendation to him although my insticts tell me the M1A (Springfield) is the best battle rifle in the world.

Which would you choose and why?

Between the two, M1A, on the magazine issue alone!

Oh yeah, big brother also let's you have a flash suppressor on the M1A!

Ditto for what driftpunch said...although for what some of the M1A's go for, he could buy a pre-ban FAL and get $5-10 mags and cheap military parts all day long. Guess that's why I have 3 FALs and only 1 M1A!
