Wayne would have been a petered-out mid-level manager in regular life, and sure is unqualified to be the CEO of the NRA (Yes, he is one of those but with a different title). He absolutely should not debate. He can't handle the ago-old counter-issue of driver licenses.
The best defense against this issue is go on offense by pointing out that driver licenses are not protected as a constitutional right; if you want it changed so that guns can be regulated like cars, then change the constitution. You just laid down the slippery slope and hope that other person takes that bait and bites with a statement of "can't change it" or "impractical to do so". Then, counter back with "your not advoacting Lenin, Stalin, Hilter's method of government". If you really hate the opposing side, you may want to throw in "you think like those guys" and the cut to commerical can never be faster.
