The VP and my manager just sent me an urgent meeting request for 15:30.
Its Friday, and they typically fire people on Fri afternoons. Either that or I am getting a raise. More than likely its getting fired. I have had a very bad attitude since I got re-hired. I am ussually very outspoken, I am more so since I have been with this firm. I just love pointing out thier stupidity. And if they don't listen, I rub it in when the idea fails. What do you think? Getting fired or getting a raise? Of I get fired, its of to CA I go. Mom has a room for me and my bankruptcy paper is ready to go. Me thinks I will go sell cars. |
|
NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Don't go to kaliban and become a used car salesman. good luck, dave |
|
Sell me your pre ban and anti Kali peripherals.
You can't take them with you. Why would you leave a free state like Texas and go back to that shit hole state ? Its because you don't want to go to the shootout right ? |
|
Well, I would guess you're headed to California.
I sure would hate to see you give up on the free world, but ya' gotta' do whatch ya' gotta' do. Good luck, Buddy. |

I'm with Legs on this one....Sounds like another ploy to escape the dreaded Farm trip![:d]

Which part of Kali LT? down south or up north this time? And I hope you got a raise, btw!! If so congrats!!!
|

Worst that can happen is your made available to the industry, right?

ILL-- I already have the number...
LT-- I might take that LEGP off your hands so you can stay in TX! hehe... I would not go back to Kali-- probably have better chances finding another job here in TX. I doubt you will get fired-- its probably nothing. Maybe they want to have an innocent talk with you before the weekend. Could be anything-- don't get worried. Its just a job. |
|
Dammit LT, that sucks.
I guess I'll just have to get you to take a longer flight. [;)] |

Sue their asses for wrongful firing. If you show up, do the work, etc you should take them to court. They have to have a better reason than just not liking you personally.

Hard to say where I fall on this issue-going back to Cali or staying in TX if a firing is what they dispense. I can't imagine living in a place as oppressive as CA in relation to firearms. Tough call, that. Lortrader, if they fire you, I hope you find a better job there in Texas so you can enjoy what little taste of freedom is left in this country. |
|
He wants back because he misses in-n-out, so cal women and the beach.I would miss them ,too.
Ca aint so bad.I have my AR's, my freedom and still i get to eat in-n-out(meatless),socal women and visit the beaches. If you decide to come back to ca, like dvd sayeth, "we can use all the help we can gits" Plus, I heard LT is a mean BBq'er Ca is still salvagable. |
|
Well, if he misses the women and the sandy beaches of kali, he can always import them to TX, that is if he still has his job. I've heard "If you die firest, we're splitting up your gear." I guess in here it's "If you're going to Kali, we're taking your gear and splitting it up"? [8)]

LT,my friend...."find" some $$$$$ before you go bankrupt(maybeimissinterpetedyourmeaning) and start the LT's Funeral Home you've always wanted.....then go bankrupt......and keep the new endeavor.Do they let you do that in TX?[;)]just a thought

|
LT? LT? Hellloooo...
Come in, LT! This suspense sucks. I hope he gets a raise. |
|
Hummmmm.... I am hoping a raise as I do not want you to go back to Crapifornia.
|
|
Ok LT, leave us hanging, but we are splitting up your stuff.
Legs, where you going shooting tomorrow? TXLEWIS |

Dude, it's worse that we all thought.
They were aliens and they have snatched LT and taken him back to their home planet...... |
|
I think I've got a solution for LT if he gets fired. [thinking] He can knock off a 7-11. He'll get to stay in Texas, plus receive free room and board and 3 squares a day. He can save all the money he receives from making license plates to buy new ARs. [:D]

The Official Word From Lordtrader:
I couldn't wait, so I called him and got the scoop. He is not fired. He is not getting a raise. The manager and the VP wanted to know what it would take to "inventory the bond desk." When LT told them, they said, "No, if it costs that much money we can't do it," and that was it. He's knocking back a few drinks with some guys from work right now, and told me this just now on the phone. ...and there was much rejoicing |

Got us all worked up over nothing. I was already planning a trip South to get the 'bro-deal' on a used lemon.[:D]
Oh well, maybe next time. Cheers Lordtrader [beer] |

Whew, I didn't think there was a gray area from the sound of it. I'm glad there was, although a raise would've been groovy. [8P]

|
Damn!! My heart was in my throat! Don't do that shit to me LT!
|
|
Do we still get to split up his stuff???????
Good news LT TXLEWIS |
|
Pussy, you should have bitch slapped them for getting you all worked up, then after rifling the contents of their wallets, you should have gone drinking on their money.
Glad to hear you didn't get sacked... |

OK well, I did not get fired but let me explain my concern.
As most of you know, I hate my job. So I 'm pretty outspoken. Hell I even tell the owner of what I think of his lil company. I do a GREAT job and have been told so more than once. Except for me being abrassive. I know for a fact that most people in the office do not like me. From the beginning I told them my stance on guns, porn, religion and politics. So the office is split on that. Some love me for my stance and some wants to see me burned in hell. All of the firngs I've seen have been on a Fri. started with an urgent meeting request from your manager and VP of the dept. Then you show up and viola HR is there as well with you paper saying that if you don't sue them and just go away. The company will give you 1mos salary after you leave. This also hold true for promotions and raises. They talk to you about it on Fri before you go home. And anounce it on Mon in the staff news. So I get this meeting request around 2PM. I figure one of two thing can happen. Fired or Raise. Well neither. [:(] I was concerned about getting fired. Since I took a paycut to come here, I have not had a chance to save. No disposable income in sight. However, I hate this company so much that it would've been a blessing in disguise. Aside from tha going back to CA part cause I would be so broke to live here. Well they decided to talk about possibly trading for our own account and they wanted to know how to do it. Funny, I thought they were running the company. Shouldn't they know. Hmmmm.... Well anyway I tell all about cost of carry, trading credit lines, repos, having support, risk management procedures, reporting procedures. Reporting procedures, yeah right. I really know about that. But they didn't seem to know shit, so I just winged it. Well after a few minutes of blank looks. they figure that this will not fit next years budget, and is not within the "business model" So hey!! I'm not fired. So I push it!! ME: Hey Mr manager, Mr VP, since I believe you think I am doing a good job. Seem you feel I have the knowledge and skill to take this to the next level. How bout a raise. THEM: Al that is true. However as you know the market has not been blah blah blah blah blah......Bottom line Al. Although we would love nothing more than to give you a raise along with the other employees. We just can't fit it in the budget at this time. The "business model" just does not allw it. [:(] So I went out drinking. In a nutshell. I still have a job I hate. Albeit a job. I am still broke. I am still in TX. Now I will go meet my TX AR15.com buddies for lunch and go shoot [:D] Edited to add: I would love to meet this "business MODEL" they speak of. She must be pretty damn HOTTT!!!. Cause everyone seem to be all hot and bothered about her. They say her name with such reverance. I hope she's a red head. |

[:(] View Quote Translated: Even if we could afford to give you and the other employee's raises, it's an employer's market, so we are not pressured to give anyone a raise, even if they deserve it. We know the economy sucks and we know our people aren't leaving for greener pastures because there ain't any, so fuck you Mr. Employee. |
