This appears to be the military one (I didn't double check), but do note that there are variations in this list.  For instance, in some agencies, they use all names...

Adam, Boy, Charlie, David, etc...

Other agencies use various other items as well, it's all a matter of where you are.  If you look up "phonetic alphabet" on the Internet, you may find a few unique ones out there...

I think while I was typing mine I made some errors as well looking on those above.

What you are referring to is the "phonetic" alphabet. It has been a long time since I got out but I'll give 'er a shot.
Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
Echo
Foxtrot
Golf
Hotel
India
Juno
Kilo
Lima
Mike
November
Oscar
(I cannot recall what "p" is in the military phenetic alphabet...but do recall a lot of excrement)
Quebec
Radar
Sierra
Tango
Uniform
Victory
("W" escapes me at this time as well)
X-Ray
Yankee
Zebra

The standard police phonetic alphabet differs:

Adam
Boy
Charles
David
Edward
Frank
George
Henry
Ida
John
King
Lincoln
Mike
Norah
Ocean
Paul
Queen
Robert
Steve
Tom
Union
Victor
William
X-ray (what else is there?)
Yankee
Zebra

To really piss off a dispatcher one can tell them "O"....as in 'possum and/or "P" as in 'neumonia.

And "Z" is "Zulu."

Does anyone know the old phonetic alphabet? I guess it has changed since WWII.

The correct spelling is ALFA, not the greek alpha...for what its worth.

Well, shoot. I said in the begin' of my post it'd been a spell.
I stand humbly corrected.

Last week, I had to phone in a service call on a server, and they wanted the S/N.  I used the call letters, and afterwards tried to name the entire alphabet.  I couldn't remember them all, so I asked a co-worker about it.  He's a pilot, so he uses them quite a bit.  He also sent me a humorous list of call letters.  I don't recommend using these.

I wish the cops would get it right. It sounds so gay the way they say it.
