Number 25. Once the fight begins, there is no substitute for ruthlessness and violence of action.

You all should go read the first post in this thread (you can skip the rest): http://glocktalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=98476 Some things to think about. Be careful out there.

These look a lot like a collection of sayings from Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch. Hawkeye, did your e-mailer give you a source for all of the quotes?

Hmm... What if it starts with a 9? 9 is higher then 4, you know. [:D] Yeah, bigger is better, but don't forget: 29. When you are attacked away from home, a 22 in your pocket beats a 44 Magnum in your nightstand 30. A center mass hit on your second attacker with a 9mm beats a shoulder hit with a 45 because the gun kicks too hard

If you haven't read the thread at GT I would suggest you do so. The first post. Dave

"All skill is in vain when an Angel pisses in the flintlock of your musket." This is so good I'm gonna make it my new sig line. [:D]

Great link. Everyone here should read this thread if they have any notion of carrying a weapon. I'll also recommend the book "The Law of Self-Defense: A Guide for the Armed Citizen" by Andrew F. Branca Paperback Published by Operon Security Ltd. Publication date: April 1, 1998 ISBN:0966511913 If you can get over the typos and have the capacity to read and absorb fairly dry material, this book is the absolute best I've found on the legalities of using force in defense of one's self or others.

I only know of one rule in a gun fight or any other kind of fight you did not start -- #1 There are no rules. This is in line with the KISS plan of action.

# 1 should say: Avoid a gunfight at all costs but if it can't be avoided...
