Yes, that is exactly what they could do, in theory. The drug war and especially forfeiture laws are one of the greatest crimes against our own citizens the U.S. has or will ever see.

I can remember when police tried to prevent theft rather than were the actual thieves. I'll spare you guys my rant about the house and cars I've personally seen stolen by cops. I've already posted it here several times before. Here's the info I have on the school:
McIntosh College 23 Cataract Ave. Dover, NH 03820 Founded 1896 Independent Junior College (not 4 year) Coed Degrees offered: Associate.,Cert. URL: www.mcintoshcollege.com Enrollment fall 2001: 1100 Faculty fall 2001: 50 Tuition: $8,600 Housing: $2,900

So, this cop wants to take a building from a college that has been around for over 100 years. Is 200 calls over an entire year really an outrageous number for 1,100 students? I just asked a guy that's a former cop from Clemson U, and he said that from what he saw at Clemson, he would expect that many calls from car break ins and car vandalism alone for a school that size.z
