I think I might just attend this. I might just open carry too. An AR-15.... The march is a great idea, but for fucks sakes, please don't go there looking like a militant nut. We have a chance to gain traction with the undecideds, and I guarantee we'll loose them all if alot of marchers show up in bdu's with ar's slung over each shoulder looking like mercenaries. So no ghillie suit???? If I were to open carry to such an event, I would wear a tucked in polo (maybe my Glock polo), nice khaki pants, nice shoes and a Glock in a leather holster. Project a clean cut image. You wouldn't believe the guys who, despite the pleas from the ISRA attended IGOLD (IL Gun Owner's Lobby Day) last year wearing jeans (some clean), a gun themed t-shirt and camo jackets. Maybe you would. I wore a pair of dress pants, a business shirt and a tie. My standard "go to court" apparel when I'm not in uniform. |

Lets try to get enough exposure for this to work. I don't want to show up and be the only asshole there.
More Assholes!

I will head to C-bus for this and will open carry a life vest, being thats the only thing left from the boat trip...

I'm in for PA. I'll find a way to take a day off.
Those of you saying that you can't make it because of work... just find a way to make it, it might even require some sacrifice. If you won;t defend your rights in the face of an open threat because you might have to miss a day of work then you never will |

I assumed that people were expected to wear them to the event. I know a hell of a lot of people, including the organizers, have worn the gold shirts every year. |

February 8th is a Friday. The organizer didn't think this through very well. No they did. You want to show up when no one is there? |

Quoted: Quoted: February 8th is a Friday. The organizer didn't think this through very well. Yes he did ,the worms are not there on a saturday We MUST be heard during the work week SF1058 hit the nail on the head. In February on a Friday most legislatures are not working on Fridays. His assessment of not being thought out very well was dead on. |

If we have a chance to do anything - it's next week. This. Damage MAY be done by Feb. State isn't the 800lb gorilla. A march to Washington would be better, but it will never get organized before zero has his way. The NRA has bee way to silent on this issue as of late. I would think they would have at least talked about organizing a march. |

This was tried back when the Clinton ban days myself and one ether man showed up at the capital in Montgomery Alabama. This march was started right here on this board. Good luck on this one . I will be there again. We are not the new normal as they say . And I am not ready to give up the old normal.

I won't be back in MO in time. Jeff City is only an hour or so away from my place.
March on my friends! ETA: My first few searches indicate Jeff City as an OC-legal municipality. Damn, I'd buy a holster just so I could OC there on a march. |

Hi, new member to AR15 and my first post gets to be a reply to something as meaniful as this, I gotta say I'm pretty stoked!
I have followed the fb link and invited approx 200 of my fb friends and posted a link to my personal timeline page as well encouraging others to do the same. Looking forward to reading up on all sorts of information on here and hoping to find others in the Dallas Tx. area to enjoy our AR's Cook-C out! |
|
I'll represent in MI. Will probably have to O.C. an AR though, a handgun might not be easy to O.C. with all the Feb. winter wear needed for MI.

Sounds good in theory. Needs national organization though.
A fb page with 13k and someone that can't spell or capitalize isn't going to be enough. People are bombarded with invites on there. I get 100 a week. Where are our national organizations that we pay money to? Where are the manufacturers? Why the fuck is this a bottom up fight when we HAVE people with money and an audience that can reach hundreds of thousands with one stroke of the pen? It makes me feel like the decision is already made, the people we are paying to push this awareness don't care, and the manufacturers are unaware or too busy trying to cash in before the market busts. I do not have a warm fuzzy feeling and I believe we are being let down |
