Police line-ups would get much easier, just look for the guy with the bloody thumb. True story: Mall Ninja actually taught me years ago how to avoid Garand Thumb. I thought I did. Or was it your buddy, let him fire a real rifle up at Burro Canyon. There's an awful lot of moving parts on a Garand for you to handle at one time.

OP, cite a source or change your thread title. I have seen no evidence that the M1 GARAND is on Feinstein's hit list.
(The M1 CARBINE is a different story.)

Didn't say that it's a fudd gun. But I think fudds are for more accepting of them than the EBRs. I've never owned a Garand but would love to one day, I think they're great.

Did everybody miss the fact that the 2004 bill to "renew" the 1994 AWB, actually expanded the ban to include Garands, SKS's, and a long list of other rifles.
In 2004, the anti's decided that a "clip" was either a magazine or a clip, and changed the wording of their legal definition of "assault weapon" to include semi-auto rifles that can use stripper clips, en-bloc clips, or speedloaders. They also changed the legal definition of "pistol grip", because they were so pissed about the thumbhole stocks. They now consider a thumbhole stock to be a pistol grip, and even a Garand has a pistol grip, because it has a curved section aft of the trigger guard that aids the shooter in gripping the stock. I am not making this shit up. It was at the bottom of the 2004 bill that Feinstein was pushing. |

The Garand was used in a Chapel Hill, NC shooting at UNC I the mid 1990's. So, the left will want it on the list even if it's not there now.
Enforcing this law would be impossible. The current NFA backlog is substantial. Imagine 100 million coming in at one time. I am sure some packets would get lost. All of this is clearly to make everything else seem vanilla by comparison. |

The M-1 Carbine is illegal in NJ
Unfortunately , it was used by two Amish in a bank robery in Newark two days bedore on State ban in 1992 was signed. Our politician thought it was a good idea put tthe M-1 on the list .
