You should remove some of the startup items in your taskbar Torf. You can boot up faster and save a lot of resources.

I can make out a power profile task icon, sound icon, touchpad, ethernet (not connected), RealPlayer (this one is a memory hog, though - you might want to ditch that one, Torf), remove devices, an elephino, network connection for dialup (I'm assuming), and KaZaa. Torf's cool on the startup programs (at least, once he ditches the RealPlayer). [;)] the_reject |

The items on the Taskbar (right next to start button) do not take up resources, as they are the same as a standard shortcut. The System Tray (next to the clock) on the other hand, DOES us up resources. However, I need that stuff to be running so I get proper use of my laptop. Sorry Kal.
See the Print Screen button near the upper right section of the keyboard? Take a stab at it. It will create an image in the memory of your computer. Now, open MSpaint, paintbrush, or whatever, and go to EDIT in the menu. Select 'Paste' to obtain your screenshot. Now it can be saved like any picture file. You can also insert screenshots into Word and probably Photoshop too by hitting the Paste command. |
