Question, I am new to the computer use game. What kind of spyware if any does this  ar15.com board use? What info does it get when I log on? I am not a computer whiz, so I am asking. I am a paranoid person, but then it is hard to take a paranoid person by surprise. Any info will be appreciated.

AR15.com is a web site not a program. It has no spyware. It may use cookies to track your surfing, somewhat, but I doubt it. Don't get paranoid.

Somewhat, there is NO FREE LUNCH in America, yes they do track your surfing, ----and ISP site, and e mail address, and only a computer guru would know what the heck else, times of use, state of origin, and any contempt of laws. I am here cause it is fun and informative but it is also a very real risk, who knows what list you can get put on by mouthing off on a particular subject. J. Edgar Hoover was not alive when computers were born so to speak, if he was he would have had a field day. Why do you think there are so many disclaimers( I would not do this but) when a HOT issue is discussed. Big brother is real, now more than ever. When I see a guy showing his state license plate  on a picture posted on this board I cringe, it is not something I would do, anyone with access to a Bureau of Motor Vehicle Data Base could get his address, DOB, psy. description,  SSN, driving staus, and photo. But then again like I said I am paranoid.(or careful) Yes I do shred all my paper garbage. (Not to mention any yahoo who is on the prowl for information to commit identity theft , get smart or get hurt.) Yeah, Ad Aware from Lavasoft got rid of all sorts of annoying spyware from DoubleClick and Gator that was too cleverly hidden for me to find.
