Cattle-rusting is a major problem in East and Central Africa

I have found that painting the cattle is an effective solution to the corrosion problem...

Prediction:

African nations decide to ban all small-arms and light weapons, and succeed in disarming the bulk of the general population.

Shortly thereafter, small armed bands start slaughtering.

The UN is called in to provide "peacekeeping" forces.

Slaughter continues while the UN stands and watches because they don't have the power to intervene against more heavily armed opponents.

The rest of Africa looks like Somalia, then Ethiopia.

The population of Africa by 2020 is about 10% of what it is now.

Yeah.  Gun control works.

800,000 people were slaughtered in less than a year in Rwanda.

Did they try to ban the weapon used in that massacre???

Do you think that out of those 800,000 hacked up bodies in Rwanda there was even a SINGLE PERSON machetted to death who was found holding a loaded gun?

"Africa attempting to ban guns"

Well, that will keep Jeff Cooper out of there.

The UN and BBC are full of shit. A security guard friend of mine is from Kenya where a  citizen cant buy a firearm anyways.

Somalia? come on! i guess Aidids son, what ever his name is. Is going to make his militia turn their weapon over to a peacekeeping farce...i mean force.

What's the problem in Africa? Might it possibly be the continual failure to establish a stable, competent government in the face of corruption, racism, and sheer stupidity?

No, it must be all the guns! Yeah, that's the problem!

Now, who wants to go into Somalia to collect all of the guns? Anyone remember Blackhawk Down?

I have heard here and there that AIDS is so bad that the population in Africa may be 10% of what it is now in 20 years from that alone.
