My neighbor has this sedan, and the linkage to the door lock had malfunctioned.   Neither the inside lever or the outside one has any resistance to it, and they say whe they try to work it, the button on top of the door goes up & down.

They are reluctant to take it apart because of some metal clips they say hold the panel and can only be used once - go bad when you remvoe the panel.

Anyone got info on this?  I have never heard of such clips - just the ones you had to be careful with so you didn't pull them out of the old fibre board panel.

Thanks

damn, at one time I could have helped you.

I used to do a lot of work on Volvo's and SAAB's prior to my time in the service.

I think that information was replaced by "S.P.O.R.T.S." [:)]

best I can recall is there used to be a company called UFO(?) that specialized in the odd-ball hardware like that.  They're old enough now that you most likely will find 'em in the junkyards.

sorry!
